CARHA Hockey World Cup Memories

Background

CARHA Hockey entrusted us with capturing the energy and spirit of the world’s largest adult recreational hockey tournament, the CARHA Hockey World Cup. Hosted in Richmond, British Columbia, this event brought together 98 teams from nine countries, celebrating the passion and camaraderie that define the sport. Our challenge was to produce a cinematic video that encapsulated the tournament’s excitement and international appeal, delivering a polished final product in just eight days for a grand showcase at the closing ceremonies.

The Solution

To meet this ambitious goal, we deployed a highly skilled production team to Richmond, ensuring comprehensive coverage of every key moment—from thrilling on-ice action to heartfelt off-ice connections between players from around the world. Over the course of the event, we captured more than 10 terabytes of footage, documenting the full scope of the tournament. Utilizing dynamic cinematography, immersive sound design, and expert editing, we crafted a high-energy narrative that embodied the tournament’s competitive spirit and deep sense of community. Working from our hotel room using a remote editing suite, we edited the entire video on-site, ensuring a rapid turnaround without compromising quality. The final video, completed on a tight timeline, was unveiled in front of thousands, offering a powerful and emotional tribute to the sport, its players, and the unifying power of hockey on a global stage.
