ImpACTIVE is an organization of current and retired professional athletes who are focused on reducing opioid addiction in sport. They provide a range of products that utilize CBD and other natural anti-inflammatory ingredients to help athletes manage day-to-day pain. They approached Billingham Agency in 2020 to design their brand from the ground up, including logos, build an intelligent e-commerce website, and launch the #LessPainMoreImpact social media campaign and video series.

The Solution

Intricate Inspiration: ImpActive CBD is a softer, more natural approach to agonizing, chronic injury management. So, we designed a logo of a modified hemp leaf. The new emblem features the iconic cannabis symbol but with a noticeably sharper point. This helped us then build the tagline: Less pain. More impact.

Process Makes Perfect: Impactive had a roster of professional athlete ambassadors with large followings and tremendous enthusiasm for their product but needed a way to get their message out to the public. The #LessPainMoreImpact social media campaign was created with these athletes in mind and Billingham Agency was tasked with producing the video series to round out the campaign’s multimedia content strategy. To help launch the new brand we established a premium feel by highlighting the balm’s attention to detail and strong support among current and retired athletes who played physically demanding sports.

Attractive, Not Addictive:  The product features a crisp brand identity, but the attractive element is its performance-first focus. ImpActive is specifically engineered to alleviate serious pain in elite athletes bypassing the need for harsh pharmaceuticals, like opioids.
